Bismuth Crystals

Mother Nature doesn't make Bismuth Crystals, but you can. All you have to do is heat pure Bismuth until it is molten. The Bismuth must be 99.99 percent pure. Bismuth melts at 520.5° Fahrenheit (271.4° Celsius). After it is molten turn off the gas and let it cool for 4 to 8 minutes. Before it totally solidifies pour off the molten metal. What remains are some very unique Bismuth Crystals with beautiful shades of blues, purples, golds and browns. If you don't like the results, re-melt it and try again. Be the first in your neighborhood to have some.
