"Larger Magnet Separating Tool"

The "Larger Magnet Separating Tool" allows the safe separation of magnets from 1/2" up to 4” in size, it actually makes it easy to manipulate the large size NIBs. It is constructed of Oak with Brass hardware and is sealed with polyurethane. It is 16” long and weighs about 2 pounds 3 ounces. Red oak is a very hard wood, insuring smoothness of operation and longevity. 2 coats of polyurethane makes it as hard and dent resistant as a new oak floor.

I design the lever to take advantage of the laws of physics in that one must push the lever through an arc of 15 ˝” to move a 2” dia. magnet 4”. The mechanical advantage is 3.875 to 1. Therefore the effort should be less than 1/3 of the effort needed to operate a straight lever design. The separated magnet has a full 2-inch clearance from the original magnet so it is less likely to “Snap Back”.

The sculptured “Hand-Saw Grip” allows the consumer to comfortably hold it steady. The user will instinctively pull with the left arm as he pushes with the right, thus both arms share the workload. For storage you can use the handle to hang the unit on a hook. It also looks “soooo cool!”
