“Neo
Rocker”
The “Neo Rocker” is the easiest and safest tool used to handle large powerful Neodymium Magnets, known as "Crushers".
Before
I bought my first large Neos I was concerned that I would attach one to a steel
object and not be able to remove it. I was also concerned about the safety of my
fingers. I designed and built the first prototype
then placed an order for four 2” diameter by 1” thick N42 disks which have a
pull force of 230 lbs. When they arrived I immediately tested the tool and it
worked better than I expected. It alleviated all the fear I had about
experimenting with crushers. When properly used, hands are never in the
“Danger Zone”. I also could safely see for myself just how powerful these
large magnets really are, both while attracting and repelling. The magnets are
nothing less than amazing.
Constructed
of hard Red Oak with solid Brass Hardware, it is finished with protective coat
of polyurethane. Included is a cute little aluminum 7/16” wrench so you can
tighten it without fighting the magnet’s force.
The “Neo Rocker” is designed to handle magnets or stacks of magnets as large as 2” by 2” blocks or 2” diameter disks, ˝” thick or thicker. It also serves as a stable experiment platform for magnets as small as ˝ inch.
The "Neo Rocker" uses a rocking motion to "Break Suction" Check out the following video to see how easily a 2" by 2" by 1" thick N42 block, with a pull force of a whopping 325 pounds, can be removed from a thick iron plate. This is the maximum force you can expect from this magnet.
Notice how easily and safely I replaced the magnet on the plate without the chance of breaking or chipping the Neo. Using 2 "Neo Rockers" (or a "Neo Rocker" and a "Neo Rocker II") you can easily and safely separate or attach 2 Neos as large as 2" by 2" blocks with an attracting force of around 500 pounds.
