The Single Brush Motor
Enamel-covered
solid-conductor copper wire is perfect for winding your own coils and
electromagnets and single brush motors. For
the 3 left hand motors I wrapped the wire around an AA battery and tied them off
as shown. Then I scraped half the enamel off only 1/2 of the the single end wires
(the ends that go through the support loops). both ends must have the same side
scraped clean. The other halves must remain enameled and insulated. I use a
battery holder with alligator clips to power the rig by clipping one to each
support loop. The support loops are made from safety pins. Check out the video.
